365 : WEEK 25

6/18/13 - We miss our friends Lyra and Desmond, it was exciting to skype with them. Karis just kept giggling she was so happy to see them! 6/19/13 - Rob, Lauren and their kiddos came over for dinner since it was Jeannine's last evening here before heading back to TX. Isaac has started to really be drawn to babies and he wants to cuddle up next to them. Here he is "hugging" cousin Anson. 6/20/13 - Our ladies Bible study {half the group at least}. This was our final week to meet for the semester and we're excited to start back up in the fall! 6/21/13 - Sick little guy...he was running a 102 temp. Went to the doctor and a few days later now, he's back to normal! 6/22/13 - Since Isaac was still under the weather a little, Karis and Jenny spent a lot of Saturday together running errands. We even ended the day with an ice cream sundae...needless to say Karis REALLY enjoyed all the extra attention and treats! 6/23/13 - Karis is improving on ...

365 : WEEK 24

6/11/13 - We got to spend part of our day with Peter Daniel. He is one of Steve's co-worker's grandson. He moved to Chicago a few months back and was in town visiting his grammy, so we got to hang out with him too! 6/11/13 {pic 2} - Later that evening we spent time with Rob, Lauren and the gang eating dinner. Grammy got to spend 10 days here, so she got tons of snuggles with all grand babies. Here she is snuggling Anson. 6/12/13 - Isaac wasn't too much into participating during playgroup this week. He was much more content sitting by mommy and grammy eating his snack. 6/13/13 - Our kids really are so silly.  Jenny turned to get Karis dressed and when she turned around, Isaac had crawled into the dresser drawer that was left open! 6/13/13 {pic 2} - now that Jenny has begun physical therapy to help the healing process in her hip, Karis has been great motivation to do her at home exercises. On any given day, you can find Karis doing the exercises along with...

365 : WEEK 23

6/4/13 - Bought $48.00 worth of diapers for $23.00.  Yay savings...thanks to my coupon extreme friend Annie for helping me save some money!  We don't usually need disposable diapers since we use cloth diapers, but we needed some for our upcoming trip to Minnesota and we have been putting Isaac in disposables at night because he tends to get bad rashes. Ok, enough...TMI! 6/5/13 - I'm ashamed to say that this is one of two pictures I took this particular day and definitely falls into the category of "don't let you kids do those things but it's still funny to take a picture" moments!  We were playing at our weekly play group when Karis came over and said look mommy!  She had put this container on her head, it was funny and I took a picture. So trying to explain to her that we shouldn't stick things like that on our heads, yea she wasn't buying it! Haha! 6/6/13 - For some who know, Jenny had hip surgery scheduled last week to fix a tear in car...

Sleepovers and Family time!

Image
As I said in our STAYcation blog post, Memorial day weekend would have it's own post. The end of our staycation concluded with a sleepover and fun afternoon spent with family. Our nieces, Charlotte and Eloise stayed the night on Sunday of that weekend. We took them home mid morning on Monday. Not that we didn't already have a great respect for Rob and Lauren, but we have a different, new found respect for them as they walk this new journey of life with infant twins along with their two toddlers. When Char and Elo stayed the night, there were plenty of night wakings with two added kiddos in the house and we can't even begin to imagine what that would be like for them paired with the twins waking multiple times to eat throughout the night! Whew! With that being said, shout out to anyone who wants to offer {free} assistance to them, I'm sure Rob and Lauren would gladly accept your help!  Haha! Here are a few fun pictures from their time at our house:   We're gonna...

365 : WEEK 22

I realize I am a few days late in posting, but somehow I'm just messed up on my days! 5/28/13 {pic 1} - we got to have one last meal with our neighbors and friends, Matt & Lyra {and their son, Desmond}, as they packed up and moved this week. 5/28/13 {pic 2} - Karis loves her friend Desmond and will miss him a lot 5/29/13 - Karis is a VERY observant {almost three year old}.  We were running errands and she noticed the Pontiac symbol on the car parked next to us as I was strapping Isaac into his carseat. All of a sudden, with much excitement, I hear her say, "They have a Torrent like we have a torrent!" This was especially funny to me because this GTO is probably exact opposite of the Torrent. Gave us a good laugh! 5/30/13 - Isaac had his 15 month check up. He looks happy here, but Isaac doesn't like anything about the nurses or doctors. The whole prodding and inspecting is etched into his mind as horrible for some reason and he ...
