365 : WEEK 25

6/18/13 - We miss our friends Lyra and Desmond, it was exciting to skype with them. Karis just kept giggling she was so happy to see them!

6/19/13 - Rob, Lauren and their kiddos came over for dinner since it was Jeannine's last evening here before heading back to TX. Isaac has started to really be drawn to babies and he wants to cuddle up next to them. Here he is "hugging" cousin Anson.
6/20/13 - Our ladies Bible study {half the group at least}. This was our final week to meet for the semester and we're excited to start back up in the fall!

6/21/13 - Sick little guy...he was running a 102 temp. Went to the doctor and a few days later now, he's back to normal!

6/22/13 - Since Isaac was still under the weather a little, Karis and Jenny spent a lot of Saturday together running errands. We even ended the day with an ice cream sundae...needless to say Karis REALLY enjoyed all the extra attention and treats!

6/23/13 - Karis is improving on her picture taking abilities...here is a shot of Isaac that she took...pretty good for a two year old!

6/23/13 {pic 2} - Really enjoying this sermon series our pastors are preaching through. Good stuff. Truth.

6/24/13 - More Karis picture taking {kinda works out great that she likes taking pictures, helps us in our 365 picture project!}

Adding to the Family!

Sitting down to write this blog post has been a long time coming (well at least 20 weeks or so!) But we are excited to announce that we are expecting our fourth child! Below, you will see some pictures highlighting parts of this pregnancy so far and also I talk about the name we have chosen for our little guy. Enjoy! I'm starting with this picture, because this little guy (left) pictured here with our son Isaac, I like to say is the reason we are having another baby, haha! Isaac has been smitten with this little one since he first held him as a baby two years ago and he began praying we would have another baby, specifically a boy! It's such a neat part of this story to me and I'm so thankful for our son's heart ( and friends who have cute kiddos!) This was taken right after we told the kids I was pregnant. Dear Grandma...

Today is my grandmother's birthday. This is a big deal. Today she celebrates 93 full and amazing years here on earth. My grandma is a special lady (more on that in a minute) and the only grandparent I ever knew (long story for another time). I often think it's amazing that my kids get to know all four of their grandparents, and we cherish the moments when we are all together. The past couple of years have been a bit up and down for my grandma in regard to her health and honestly I hate being across the world during this time and also a bit envious when my brothers and cousins get to visit her when they are able (so all y'all give her a hug when you see her next for me!) It's never easy being apart from family, but especially when one is ill. So I write, because it's what I can do...no she's not going to be on Facebook reading the link to our blog, but I know my mom will gladly call her and read this to her. Surprise Arrival!

This is a long post. But many of you have asked about the story of Milo's arrival. So I wanted to take time to write it out, details and all. But  for those who don't want to read the entire story with all the details, feel free to scroll through and just look at the pictures! A lot of you were shocked to hear of his arrival...so were we! (After all, we were still 25 days out from his due date when he made his appearance). I had just gone to my 36 week checkup two days prior, all was healthy and well with baby and with me and there were no signs of early labor. At that appointment, the doctor said that I was 1 cm dilated, but honesty I knew I could be at that for several weeks before seeing any progress to labor.
