365 : WEEK 24

6/11/13 - We got to spend part of our day with Peter Daniel. He is one of Steve's co-worker's grandson. He moved to Chicago a few months back and was in town visiting his grammy, so we got to hang out with him too!
6/11/13 {pic 2} - Later that evening we spent time with Rob, Lauren and the gang eating dinner. Grammy got to spend 10 days here, so she got tons of snuggles with all grand babies. Here she is snuggling Anson.

6/12/13 - Isaac wasn't too much into participating during playgroup this week. He was much more content sitting by mommy and grammy eating his snack.
6/13/13 - Our kids really are so silly.  Jenny turned to get Karis dressed and when she turned around, Isaac had crawled into the dresser drawer that was left open!

6/13/13 {pic 2} - now that Jenny has begun physical therapy to help the healing process in her hip, Karis has been great motivation to do her at home exercises. On any given day, you can find Karis doing the exercises along with mommy!  {As for Karis and no shirt, well she was getting hot and had to take it off!}

6/14/13 - The one downside to having extra people in the house is that our kiddos haven't figured out how to sleep till their normal wake up times. It's like they are so excited to be awake and want everyone to be awake too! So, instead of waking grammy up, we pulled them both into our room and let them play games on our phones...sigh.

6/15/13 - we celebrated father's day pretty much all weekend long. Saturday morning we were up {early} as I mentioned above. The kiddos and Jenny let Steve sleep in a little longer and made him breakfast to begin the weekend long celebration of a great daddy!

6/16/13 - HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! Steve is an amazing dad to these two cute blondies. Had a great time relaxing after church on Sunday and then going out to eat for dinner.
6/17/13 - Steve was able to take off today while his mom was in town.  So we took the kids to the splash park for the first time this summer, they had a blast running around in the water!

6/17/13 {pic 2} - Our friend and neighbors had their third baby, Lilah Leigh. It was fun to swing by the hospital to meet her!

6/17/13 {pic 3} - Final picture for this busy day, Isaac's first haircut. He looks content here, but believe me, he was not a fan of getting his hair cut!

Adding to the Family!

Sitting down to write this blog post has been a long time coming (well at least 20 weeks or so!) But we are excited to announce that we are expecting our fourth child! Below, you will see some pictures highlighting parts of this pregnancy so far and also I talk about the name we have chosen for our little guy. Enjoy! I'm starting with this picture, because this little guy (left) pictured here with our son Isaac, I like to say is the reason we are having another baby, haha! Isaac has been smitten with this little one since he first held him as a baby two years ago and he began praying we would have another baby, specifically a boy! Dear Grandma...

Today is my grandmother's birthday. This is a big deal. Today she celebrates 93 full and amazing years here on earth. My grandma is a special lady (more on that in a minute) and the only grandparent I ever knew (long story for another time). I often think it's amazing that my kids get to know all four of their grandparents, and we cherish the moments when we are all together. The past couple of years have been a bit up and down for my grandma in regard to her health and honestly I hate being across the world during this time and also a bit envious when my brothers and cousins get to visit her when they are able (so all y'all give her a hug when you see her next for me!) It's never easy being apart from family, but especially when one is ill. So I write, because it's what I can do...no she's not going to be on Facebook reading the link to our blog, but I know my mom will gladly call her and read this to her. Surprise Arrival!

This is a long post. But many of you have asked about the story of Milo's arrival. So I wanted to take time to write it out, details and all. But  for those who don't want to read the entire story with all the details, feel free to scroll through and just look at the pictures! A lot of you were shocked to hear of his arrival...so were we! (After all, we were still 25 days out from his due date when he made his appearance). I had just gone to my 36 week checkup two days prior, all was healthy and well with baby and with me and there were no signs of early labor. At that appointment, the doctor said that I was 1 cm dilated, but honesty I knew I could be at that for several weeks before seeing any progress to labor. I had a long list of nesting projects I had been slowly working on and was hoping to finish before Milo’s arrival.  Thursday morning rolled around, I realized I was beginning to show signs of possible labor nearing, but still wasn’t too alarmed just yet, after all...
