2/19/13 - each day when I put the kiddos down for naps, Isaac crawls up in Karis' bed while I tuck her in and they both giggle and bounce around while I get her settled, it's really sweet to watch Isaac fall over on her and kiss her "night, night" 2/20/13 - Special lunch with my friend and former co-worker Joy 2/21/13 - Kiddos {and parents} have been fighting the allergies flying around for a few days now {mama's still trying to kick a sinus infection, ugh}   2/22/13 - Neighborhood ducks on occasion will come up to our back door, this is the first time Isaac has seen them so close and really enjoyed them - although he didn't understand why on earth we would feed them his snack crackers ;) 2/23/13 - SNEAK PEEK of Isaac's one year photo shoot! 2/24/13 - We have had the honor of knowing Rick and Beth Hicks since living in Orlando and have been blessed by them tremendously over the past several years.  They are solid prayer warriors an...

We enjoyed a day by the pool while visiting with my sweet friend April. She and her son are in town on vacation with family {her husband joins her on the second leg of their vacation next week}. It was fun to see her and Dub and let our kiddos play together! Karis is truly our little Floridian and enjoyed the sand, sun and water. Today was Isaac's first real experience with getting to play in water park area and he loved it too. What a fun way to spend part of our day! Love this sweet friend! Karis can't wait to get wet Little Will {Dub} eating lunch Karis was eating her pear upside down and kept saying she was eating an ice cream cone Dub is one CUTE little man! Isaac enjoyed the splash part When I sat him down, he instantly stood up on his own and just wanted to stand there Karis and Dub playing in the sand Karis chillin in the hammock...let's just say watching her get into a hammock was VERY entertaining! ...

2/12/13-Miss Lindsay watched our kiddos while Steve took me for an MRI (more on that another day), while we were gone, Karis was excited to show Miss Lindsay her piggy bank, but dropped it on the tile instead and Lindsay said that Karis said, "oh I like money!"  Classic. 2/13/13-Out to eat for an early Valentine's Day date.  We enjoyed Cantina Laredo and a night out without kiddos. 2/14/13-Ah Yes, Valentine's Day...could easily have tons of pictures from just this day {for another post maybe}.  So here I am with two of the cutest little Valentines! 2/15/13- I have started going to Aldi grocery store for our produce, although not organic like I would prefer, it's way cheaper than the produce at other local stores and still tastes yummy.  With two kiddos who eat tons of fruit now, this works great for us. Karis enjoyed going with me this time and putting the quarter in to get our shopping cart.  As soon as I get home, I clean it all before putting ...

HOPE this Valentine's Day

Image
Each year, we send out Valentine cards (instead of a yearly Christmas card and letter).  Here is a glimpse of this years letter and pictures...Enjoy! H- Hope, according to the biblical definition, is not used for wishful thinking. It is a firm confidence in the promises of God. We enjoy singing hymns in our household, a favorite is, "My Hope is Built on Nothing Less". Several phrases throughout the hymn proclaim the hope we can easily celebrate day in and day out. “My hope is built on nothing less, Than Jesus' blood and righteousness...In every high and stormy gale, My anchor holds within the veil…When every earthly prop gives way, He then is all my Hope and Stay… When He shall come with trumpet sound, Oh, may I then in Him be found, Clothed in His righteousness alone, Faultless to stand before the throne! On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand.” So what do you hope in? O- On the Go, Steve’s job at Converge Worldwide keeps him busy! He tra...

Heart of Servants

There are days I have with my daughter that I sit back, smile and marvel at what the Lord is doing in her little life. Yesterday was one such day and even today she was just so sweet and I treasure such moments with her! Karis, since she was old enough to talk (so pretty much the past year and a half), has brought much joy wherever she goes and lights up a room with her big grin! She has also begun to have a heart of service, which Steve and I can only attribute to the Lord's working in her life, because only He can make a heart be filled with love for others. We love watching her play in the little toy kitchens at other's houses (because we dont have a play kitchen at our house she especially enjoys the treat of being at someone's house who does have one) as she busily puts together "tea" for everyone and then proceeds to serve all the guests who will accept her cups. It warms my heart because we have prayed and continue to pray that she be filled with a love for...

2/5/13-Karis enjoying reading time with Grammy 2/6/13-Isaac's suspenders came in the mail this day and Karis was having fun trying them on 2/7/13-Big cousin Charlotte pulling the littler kiddos {Isaac and Eloise} around in the wagon while Karis runs along side. I'm convinced Charlotte could have done this for hours up and down the sidewalk, giving Grammy a nice workout while she followed!   2/8/13-Our yearly Valentine cards dropped off to be mailed 2/9/13-Steve's Grandma {better known as Gigi to our kiddos} and his great Aunt Edna come into town one weekend in February every year and we always enjoy seeing them. We enjoyed lots of playtime with them and the cousins during their visit here this weekend. 2/10/13-Isaac during his baby dedication at our church while Pastor Chris prays over him and our family.  2/11/13 - Look what Isaac learned to climb. Actually before I snapped this picture when I caught him climbing on it, he was standing on it wi...
