Steve and Jenny Valentine

Isaac turned 11 months old yesterday and I didn't think it would make me emotional, but thinking about it now I am a bit overwhelmed to think he will be a year old in just 30 days!  I have enjoyed this little man so much and he has made our lives very full around here. He is into everything. He enjoys opening the cabinets to make a mess of the tupperware. He has the sweetest giggle. He stands for longer periods of time unassisted. He hates when you try to get him to walk. He climbs like a pro and seems to have no fear. He likes to be outside, but likes to eat grass and other things I don't want him to eat. He eats three hearty meals a day with snacks in between. He has almost completely weaned from nursing {still has the morning feeding}. He naps really well two times a day. He "sings" along with mommy when I sing his night time song. He makes more talking noises,  he even does a Godfather type talking that just cracks us up! He enjoys playing with cars ...

1/22/13-My friend Amanda and her daughter, Audrey came over to work on preparing stuff for the baby shower we hosted later this week for my sister in law.  Karis LOVES Miss Amanda and baby Audrey {Karis pronounces her name baby Laudrey, it's cute!} 1/23/13-When weather permits, it is a must to spend at least an hour outside in the afternoon.  Isaac, being more mobile, doesn't just sit on the blanket anymore, rather he likes to explore {aka. eat grass!} 1/24/13-Karis dresses herself most days {sometimes let's me help her pick out a matching outfit-but most of the time picks out stuff that will match}  This day she insisted on wearing her leg warmers (which were worn on her arms at the first part of the day).  This is how she wanted to take her nap {shirt, undies, leg warmers} 1/25/13-I helped host a baby shower for my sister in law, Lauren, who is pregnant with twin boys.  We are excited to welcome some more boys into the family, our first nephew...

Isaac turned ten months old during our time in Minnesota. He enjoys: brown bear brown bear book and gets super excited even just seeing it laying around! pushing cars, trains, trucks, etc snuggles on momma following sissy around and taking whatever she is playing with - she on the other hand does not enjoy this ;) walking along things he has pulled up on walking with a push toy waving standing (but no steps yet) climbing on things or over things opening and closing doors blowing raspberries making talking noises giving kisses-which mainly consists of his open, slobbery mouth touching your lips or cheek {PRICELESS} the word "boots"...not sure why but when we were out one cold evening in MN, Steve was talking about wearing boots and he just busted up laughing.  Now if he's in a bad mood or if you just want him to giggle, say "boots" and that'll do the trick! Isaac got his first hair cut {sort of} during month ten.  He had started having some...
