365 : Week EIGHT

2/19/13 - each day when I put the kiddos down for naps, Isaac crawls up in Karis' bed while I tuck her in and they both giggle and bounce around while I get her settled, it's really sweet to watch Isaac fall over on her and kiss her "night, night"
2/20/13 - Special lunch with my friend and former co-worker Joy

2/21/13 - Kiddos {and parents} have been fighting the allergies flying around for a few days now {mama's still trying to kick a sinus infection, ugh}
 
2/22/13 - Neighborhood ducks on occasion will come up to our back door, this is the first time Isaac has seen them so close and really enjoyed them - although he didn't understand why on earth we would feed them his snack crackers ;)
2/23/13 - SNEAK PEEK of Isaac's one year photo shoot!

2/24/13 - We have had the honor of knowing Rick and Beth Hicks since living in Orlando and have been blessed by them tremendously over the past several years.  They are solid prayer warriors and sweet people.  Our church commissioned them at church Sunday as they prepare for full time missionary service in the Philippines.  We will miss them!

2/25/13 - April and her family come to Orlando every March for vacation.  We always enjoy when they visit because we get to see them too!  Here are April and I with our kiddos enjoying a picnic and playtime by the pool.

Adding to the Family!

Sitting down to write this blog post has been a long time coming (well at least 20 weeks or so!) But we are excited to announce that we are expecting our fourth child! Below, you will see some pictures highlighting parts of this pregnancy so far and also I talk about the name we have chosen for our little guy. Enjoy! I'm starting with this picture, because this little guy (left) pictured here with our son Isaac, I like to say is the reason we are having another baby, haha! Isaac has been smitten with this little one since he first held him as a baby two years ago and he began praying we would have another baby, specifically a boy! It's such a neat part of this story to me and I'm so thankful for our son's heart ( and friends who have cute kiddos!) This was taken right after we told the kids I was pregnant. Dear Grandma...

Today is my grandmother's birthday. This is a big deal. Today she celebrates 93 full and amazing years here on earth. My grandma is a special lady (more on that in a minute) and the only grandparent I ever knew (long story for another time). I often think it's amazing that my kids get to know all four of their grandparents, and we cherish the moments when we are all together. The past couple of years have been a bit up and down for my grandma in regard to her health and honestly I hate being across the world during this time and also a bit envious when my brothers and cousins get to visit her when they are able (so all y'all give her a hug when you see her next for me!) It's never easy being apart from family, but especially when one is ill. So I write, because it's what I can do...no she's not going to be on Facebook reading the link to our blog, but I know my mom will gladly call her and read this to her. Surprise Arrival!

This is a long post. But many of you have asked about the story of Milo's arrival. So I wanted to take time to write it out, details and all. But  for those who don't want to read the entire story with all the details, feel free to scroll through and just look at the pictures! A lot of you were shocked to hear of his arrival...so were we! (After all, we were still 25 days out from his due date when he made his appearance). I had just gone to my 36 week checkup two days prior, all was healthy and well with baby and with me and there were no signs of early labor. At that appointment, the doctor said that I was 1 cm dilated, but honesty I knew I could be at that for several weeks before seeing any progress to labor.
