Isaac - 11 months

Isaac turned 11 months old yesterday and I didn't think it would make me emotional, but thinking about it now I am a bit overwhelmed to think he will be a year old in just 30 days!  I have enjoyed this little man so much and he has made our lives very full around here.

He is into everything.
He enjoys opening the cabinets to make a mess of the tupperware.
He has the sweetest giggle.
He stands for longer periods of time unassisted.
He hates when you try to get him to walk.
He climbs like a pro and seems to have no fear.
He likes to be outside, but likes to eat grass and other things I don't want him to eat.
He eats three hearty meals a day with snacks in between.
He has almost completely weaned from nursing {still has the morning feeding}.
He naps really well two times a day.
He "sings" along with mommy when I sing his night time song.
He makes more talking noises,  he even does a Godfather type talking that just cracks us up!
He enjoys playing with cars {or anything that rolls along the ground like that}
He had his first "first class" experience in an airplane.
He got his top two teeth popping through this month.
He likes to clap a lot and if you sing the right song, he will clap right along.
He is learning to throw a ball.
He can say ball, go, mama, dada.
He gets things if you ask him something like, "go get the ball".
He LOVES the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do you see and gets extremely excited when he sees the book or when you read it to him!

Adding to the Family!

Sitting down to write this blog post has been a long time coming (well at least 20 weeks or so!) But we are excited to announce that we are expecting our fourth child! Below, you will see some pictures highlighting parts of this pregnancy so far and also I talk about the name we have chosen for our little guy. Enjoy! Dear Grandma...

Today is my grandmother's birthday. This is a big deal. Today she celebrates 93 full and amazing years here on earth. My grandma is a special lady (more on that in a minute) and the only grandparent I ever knew (long story for another time). I often think it's amazing that my kids get to know all four of their grandparents, and we cherish the moments when we are all together. The past couple of years have been a bit up and down for my grandma in regard to her health and honestly I hate being across the world during this time and also a bit envious when my brothers and cousins get to visit her when they are able (so all y'all give her a hug when you see her next for me!) It's never easy being apart from family, but especially when one is ill. So I write, because it's what I can do...no she's not going to be on Facebook reading the link to our blog, but I know my mom will gladly call her and read this to her. Surprise Arrival!

This is a long post. But many of you have asked about the story of Milo's arrival. So I wanted to take time to write it out, details and all. But  for those who don't want to read the entire story with all the details, feel free to scroll through and just look at the pictures! A lot of you were shocked to hear of his arrival...so were we! (After all, we were still 25 days out from his due date when he made his appearance). I had just gone to my 36 week checkup two days prior, all was healthy and well with baby and with me and there were no signs of early labor. At that appointment, the doctor said that I was 1 cm dilated, but honesty I knew I could be at that for several weeks before seeing any progress to labor. I had a long list of nesting projects I had been slowly working on and was hoping to finish before Milo’s arrival.  Thursday morning rolled around, I realized I was beginning to show signs of possible labor nearing, but still wasn’t too alarmed just yet, after all...
