POLAND 365 :: WEEKS 45 & 46

Well alas, still more pictures have turned up missing (but what do you expect with me publishing this post that should have been posted over two months ago!) So, I'll share what we have...and hopefully will finish posting all our pictures finally from Poland 365 of 2016 in the coming days!

November 11 - This is Independence day here in Poland as well as Sw. Marcin
day in PoznaƄ. The past couple years we have attended the Sw. Marcin day
festivities in town and they are known for having a popular Polish treat
(pictured here) called Rogale. It's tasty, as you can imagine!
Missing November 12 & 13 (the perfectionist side of me is bothered that I couldn't locate all these pictures!)

November 14 - In addition to Karis attending
school (and Isaac in preschool) in the Polish
school nearby, we do a small amount of
additional home school materials to help
them stay on top of English studies.
November 15 - Jenny got a hair cut and color
and it was really fun to get out of the house
for a little bit. This is only the second hair
cut she's had in a couple years and it's an
interesting experience to get your haircut
in another country, with another language!
Thankful for pictures on pinterest ;)

Missing November 16 too...

November 17 - Some of our best friends in America sent us this creative package
in the mail. We were so surprised that the post office actually delivered it to us!
It's a potato that reads, "Best Spuds forever! We love and miss you guys! Luke
and Traci" These two people have been a constant source of encouragement to
us as we have lived here and we miss them big time. The next time we see them
will be a very special time indeed!
November 18 - Making some pies to have our
own Thanksgiving Celebration here (since
they do not celebrate that holiday here in Poland).
Most of these products are from Poland grocery
stores, except the canned pumpkin that was
brought to us by Steve's parents.
November 19 - Our place settings for our thanksgiving meal. We celebrated
this holiday with a couple other American families :)
November 20 - Leftover pie is the best...
especially the homemade whipped cream!
November 21 - At Karis' school they do not have class pictures like they do in
America per say, but they do take an entire class picture and if you look close
you will see Karis front and center with her class. Karis as really rocked the
first grade and is thriving even among the language difference (which she
continues to excel at learning by the way!)
November 22 - When your two year old steals your phone and
you find a hundred toddler selfies later that day, haha!
November 23 - Playing on the park near our house
before the weather gets too cold!
November 24 - The kids finally went to a well
check here in Poland (we hadn't done that since
living here and it was well overdue!). Olivia had
the doctor laughing, calling her a funny girl.
