POLAND 365 :: WEEKS 37 & 38

September 16 - Steve waiting at the train station
here in Poznań awaiting the arrival of friends
from the U.S.
September 17 - Visiting a cathedral in Poznań, this is a very
important part of Polish history - said to be where Poland began.
September 18 - Our friends who came
in town blessed us by caring for our kids
one evening and told us to go out on a date!
This was such a blessing to us and we were
very grateful for the time alone together.
September 19 - Tesco is one of our favorite places to shop here in Poland. We
even have the option to order online and have it delivered to our home (which
we usually take advantage of as it is very helpful to not have to cart 3 kids to
the store). This was the first time I had actually gone into this particular store
and it was like a small reminder of America in that it was a cross between a
Target and Wal-Mart (if you can imagine that).
September 20 - Taking our guests to one of our
favorite cafes in Poznań. This place is peaceful
and we always enjoy how they change their
decor depending on the season.
September 21 - I think it's safe to say that they like coffee here in Poland...
and this wasn't even the entire shelf (I couldn't stand far enough back to get
it all in!)
September 22 - We were honored to see Lisa and Ashlyn, thank you for taking
time to come to Poland on your European adventure!
September 23 - When you're on your way to language class and spot your
daughter (in middle in the pink jacket) on her school's class trip!
September 24 - Karis hasn't had her hair cut since being in
Poland and it was time. I have never seen someone cut a
girl's hair with clippers like this before, it was a different
way to do it.
September 25 - The children's class seems to be
growing immensely at Poznań InternationalChurch
and it's fun to see these little ones anxious to learn
more about the Savior of the World!
September 26 - There are many things we did not
expect to see until we return to the States for a visit,
and Kombucha was one of those things. This was a
fun find in the store!
September 27 - When your oldest daughter requests oatmeal
and hot tea for breakfast and you can't help but think of what
a wonderful young lady she is turning into these days!
September 28 - Jenny had the amazing opportunity
to sneak away from Poland for a week to spend time
celebrating a best friend's birthday here in Europe.
It was fun to be reunited with these ladies upon
arriving at the airport just a few hours after them!
September 29 - Another friend (Ashleigh - in back) flew in
the next day to meet up with us for the remaining days we
got to spend together. These two ladies have been
tremendous blessing to our entire family over the past few
years and we thank God for continued friendships even
though those friendships span three different countries!
