POLAND 365 :: WEEKS 33 & 34

August 19 - Random volleyball tournament set up in town.
August 20 - the day our peanut turned 6. We are so proud of the girl she has
developed into and enjoy getting to see her passion for life and new adventure
explode as she grows. Her compassion for others is amazing and her curiosity
is strong. She is bubbly, talkative, talented and loves big. We are thankful for
God allowing us to become parents 6 years ago to this beautiful blondie!
August 20 (a second picture for the day) - Karis blowing out
her candles at her party. We enjoyed a small gathering
with some of her classmates and other friends.
August 21 - Olivia is our wild child these days.
She can often be found causing all sorts of
mischief and keeps us on our toes. Pictured
here she is posing with her brother's lego
piece on her leg (probably to keep it from
him and make him mad!)
August 22 - We always enjoy care packages from
friends back in the States. This particular box
was the highlight of our day with a birthday gift
for Karis and goldfish for the other kiddos!
August 23 - Waiting in the motor vehicle office to set our appointment for taking
driver's test in order to obtain our Polish license.
August 24 - One of the friends that Karis had
invited to her birthday party could not attend
and so we had the opportunity to get together
with them a few days later for a play date and
his mom surprised us with a cake she had
made for Karis. It was a very special treat!
AUGUST 25 - well apparently we missed another picture on this day!

August 26 - Waiting in another office to complete
more paperwork in order to obtain our driver's
licenses. This has not been an "easy" process, but
nothing here ever is!. The kids had to come along
for this trip and needless to say, they will be
experts at waiting in a matter of time!
August 27 - Enjoying one last day at the lake near our home before the end of
Summer. It's crowded during the summer and our kids love getting to have a
lake so close by our home.
August 28 - The amount of families with young children is increasing at our
church here in Poznan and that makes for a very busy and full kids class on
Sunday mornings!
August 29 - This girl can always find a way to crack us up.
We found her riding her bike with goggles on...she keeps
us entertained to say the least!
August 30 - It's always a treat to have friends come for dinner...and it's an
even BETTER treat when they call and say, "let us cook for you so you
don't have to"!  We sure do enjoy the company of these sweet friends.
August 31 - Jenny did the Whole 30 eating
program with a friend here in Poznań and
started getting sick of eating eggs in the
morning (as you have to cut out all grains,
sugars, carbs and dairy). Pinterest offered
some neat alternatives for breakfast ideas
-this was a favorite-it's an oatmeal type
of meal made with Chia, banana, almond
milk and eggs. The combo sounds awful
but the result was delicious and by far the
favorite breakfast recipe (especially adding
fruit and nuts on top).
Septemer 1 - First day of school in Poznań!
Karis (pictured here) began first class in school.
They began the first day of class with a short
program for the kids and then off to meet
their teacher. She has an awesome teacher
and she will be with the same classmates and
teacher through class four (fourth grade). About
15 of the 20 students in her class are from her
Zerówka (kindergarten) class last year so she
has many of her friends from last year in her
class this year.
