Hello Again!

Well after a two month blogging hiatus, we decided to reappear in the bloggosphere! Instead of a wordy post, I thought I would show some highlights of the past couple months with pictures. 

OH, and before I forget, we're moving to Poland...for real. One of the biggest highlights happened on July 1, when we reached 100% of our monthly financial goals (yay God!). So plane tickets were purchased and on August 9th we will leave here and arrive in Poland on August 10th. Only thing that is needed on the financial partnership front is $6,000 in start up costs.

win the ESV Bible (I never win anything, so it made us laugh!)

training, the final training we had to complete before departing.

Celebrating our last 4th of July in America for a while and also the day
we first moved to Orlando 6 years ago...exciting to think of what lies
ahead for our family as we move to Poland!

Lots of packing happening right now (the sorting never seems to end!) and many tearful goodbyes. Steve is also finishing up his final paper and test which will conclude his seminary coursework. Adding to the Family!

Sitting down to write this blog post has been a long time coming (well at least 20 weeks or so!) But we are excited to announce that we are expecting our fourth child! Below, you will see some pictures highlighting parts of this pregnancy so far and also I talk about the name we have chosen for our little guy. Enjoy! I'm starting with this picture, because this little guy (left) pictured here with our son Isaac, I like to say is the reason we are having another baby, haha! Isaac has been smitten with this little one since he first held him as a baby two years ago and he began praying we would have another baby, specifically a boy! It's such a neat part of this story to me and I'm so thankful for our son's heart ( and friends who have cute kiddos!) This was taken right after we told the kids I was pregnant. No Room in the Inn

Steve and I joked a few weeks back about a situation that came up about our trip to Minnesota for the Christmas holidays because the place we were to stay was no longer available and so we joked about how there was "no room in the Inn"!  Lodging got figured out and we were looking forward to spending Christmas with my side of the family.  And then there was today, a day I never even anticipated.  We arrived at the Orlando airport bright and early and boarded our plane with a very excited two year old and goofy grinned little ten month old.  Karis hasn't been on a plane in a while and she has been so excited to get on an airplane to go see "snowflake".  {Yea, we keep trying to tell her it's just called "snow" or "snowflakes"}  The flight was great, Karis was excited and very entertained by the goody bag I had prepared with all sorts of "busy activities" a two year old could ever want and Isaac just slept.  We got to Chicago, ...

Dear Grandma...

Today is my grandmother's birthday. This is a big deal. Today she celebrates 93 full and amazing years here on earth. My grandma is a special lady (more on that in a minute) and the only grandparent I ever knew (long story for another time). I often think it's amazing that my kids get to know all four of their grandparents, and we cherish the moments when we are all together. The past couple of years have been a bit up and down for my grandma in regard to her health and honestly I hate being across the world during this time and also a bit envious when my brothers and cousins get to visit her when they are able (so all y'all give her a hug when you see her next for me!) It's never easy being apart from family, but especially when one is ill. So I write, because it's what I can do...no she's not going to be on Facebook reading the link to our blog, but I know my mom will gladly call her and read this to her.
