Via!

Olivia turned three months old a couple weeks back. As I sat and nursed her the other night I thought about how she is a quarter of a year old already.  Wow...we have survived a quarter of a year with three kiddos.  OK, it's been a joyful (and hard) three months! For our family, Steve and I have agreed that the transition to three children was a lot more challenging then the transition to two children.  And here is what I would say to anyone reading this who may have not heard me say it already in person...every family's experience IS different!  I had people tell me going to three was easier, but most said it was harder.  However, I chose to believe the few that said it was easier and was quite shocked after Olivia was born and found myself in such a struggle as to figure out how to manage this beautiful (yet full) household of little blessings!

Our littlest girly, Via (as Isaac so affectionately calls her!), is learning new things...
  • She sucks fiercely on her hands when they aren't swaddled in her blanket (which she still enjoys and to which we have unsuccessfully tried to move past these swaddle days...and it makes her mad when she busts out of the swaddle).
  • She loves when her sissy and brother get in her face and she usually rewards them with the biggest grin and coo, which of course pleases her siblings. The exception for this would be early in the mornings...she is her mamas girl ;)
  • She is finding her voice and likes to make gurgle noises, coo and imitate any noise you make. She is also getting loud, gotta compete with her bigger siblings I guess!
  • She giggled hard for the first time this past month and has begun to do it a little more frequently.
  • Karis and Isaac are becoming increasingly good at helping care for her...retrieving pacis and burp cloths when the occasion requires.  They both want to hold her all the time and don't understand why she becomes fussy sometimes when they're holding her and "shhhshing" her...assuming she should just stop in an instant because they see mama does that and it works.  It's cute though and it reminds me to be praying for them and their bond together as siblings.
  • She rotates in a circle in her bed, which still amazes me because she is swaddled when she does it!
Here she is during month three:

just a lazy day watching shows. She loves getting time with daddy
her brother and sister are always so eager to play with her and here they wanted to show her their craft they made for their grandma and grammy for mother's day
Olivia's baby dedication on Mother's day-so special
Olivia's first mother's day
still LOVES sucking on her hands
this is the face she usually makes when Isaac gets too close to her face!
just happy
not so happy-she is not a "tummy time" fan
Love, Love, Love these moments. Karis holding Olivia in her room and I snapped a picture of her talking to her little sissy, just a precious moment.

goofy moments-pile up on daddy
getting strong legs
And the day she turned three months...
