365 : WEEK(s) 50 & 51

WEEK 50

12/10/13 - Coffee and a big cinnamon roll, Jenny very much enjoyed these by herself while some sweet friends took Karis and Isaac to Disney world for the day.  Yea it would have been fun to be with them, but it was a blast to have some alone time as well!  After some much needed quiet time, Jenny proceeded to shampooing the carpet. Yea that wasn't so relaxing, but we have clean carpets now and it was much easier to do without little tots under foot.

12/11/13 - Karis is a great helper and it was so fun to make our first sugar cookies of the Christmas season together.  She likes to help with everything and so it was especially enjoyable to teach her how to do something new.  We've come a long way from a couple years ago when she screamed her head off when we tried to get her to push the cookie cutter into the dough ;)
12/12/13 - Daddy left this day to go out of town for a few days and the kids are especially snuggly with him before and after he returns home from his work trips.

12/13/13 - fresh veggies from a friend's garden.  We enjoyed eggplant Parmesan one night (thanks to Bob) and then a roasted vegi soup a few nights later...yummy fresh garden veggies!

12/14/13 - Isaac has reached a stage where he notices when he goes potty in his diaper and wants to sit on the potty often.  We decided (as we did with Karis when she began showing interest) to go ahead and go with it.  By no means are we into hard core potty training, but he is becoming increasingly interested and as soon as Steve is home for a few weeks at a time, we may work with him on it more diligently (it would be nice to have a potty trained child before baby number three arrives, although we don't necessarily care since we use cloth diapers)  We will see what happens, but go Isaac!

12/15/13 - 28 weeks pregnant-hoping and expecting the arrival of  baby girl in ten weeks!

12/16/13 - The kiddos got a haircut today (Yay Isaac sat through an entire haircut!) Karis especially enjoyed having her hair washed and blow dried in the salon for the first time.
WEEK 51
12/17/13 - Here is Isaac with his friend Carly.  We met Carly's mommy, Tricia, at church when Jenny was in her third trimester (as was Tricia).  Carly and Isaac are just days apart in age and now they are both expecting little siblings too together.  It was good to see Tricia (who has since moved a little farther away) and let these little munchkins hang out together.

12/18/13 - 28 week doctor check up for baby girl with princess Karis.  Karis is sooo excited to be having a little sister and loves going to the doctor with mommy to hear the baby's heartbeat.

12/19/13 - It's always fun to find a "steal" of a deal! Jenny had the privilege to hang out with a sweet friend for the afternoon. After coffee and snacks, we walked around College park area to window shop.  Walking into a thrift store, we noticed this Vera Bradley bag for a quarter of what it would cost originally and it looked like it had hardly been used!  It's perfect for our new baby girl's diaper bag.  We have never owned a "girly" looking diaper bag and so it was fun to pick this up for the next baby.

12/20/13 - Jenny got an early birthday gift from Steve's mom-Pedicure/manicure(s) together and a coffee date to follow.  It was such a treat!

12/21/13 - Steve's parents are in town for Christmas and they treated us to a day at the "ICE" show at the Gaylord Palms.  It was fun to watch the kids get excited about all the ice sculptures. It was pretty fascinating, what an art.  We were glad the 9 degree temperature was only for a short amount of time though and glad to walk back outside in the Florida heat!

12/22/13 - Grandpa reading a bedtime story and giving Isaac a "schmootski" (a Polish kiss, as Bob calls it, haha!)

12/23/13 - More holiday fun to a drive through light display.  We put the kids in their pjs, all packed into the van (minivan comes in handy when family is in town), headed up to a light display that you drive through and listened to the kids get so excited about all the fun lights out their windows.  Simple (inexpensive) pleasures make for some fun family memories. This pic was taken on our way home and well past their bedtimes, yet still so happy!
