365 : WEEK(s) 48 & 49

11/26/13 -Isaac was one tired boy after our first flight in our trip to Dallas for Thanksgiving

11/27/13 - Visiting with Steve's Aunt Kathleen, Uncle Bill and cousin Ana while in Dallas

11/28/13 - Thanksgiving day with some of Steve's family

11/29/13 - Jenny and the kiddos at the Fort Worth Science museum...kids especially enjoyed the curious George exhibit

11/30/13 - Isaac feeding a cow at the Velhuizen Dairy farm. We had a blast touring their cheese shop and visiting with Steve's boss' family

12/1/13 - Had time to visit with several friends during our time in Dallas...great to catch up with the Dallalio family!

12/2/13 -  Our friend Joanna with Jenny and all the kiddos!
WEEK 49:
12/3/13 - All loaded up and ready to head back to Orlando

12/4/13 - Our "Thankful Tree" that we worked on throughout the month of November.
12/5/13 - "Christmas" with Rob, Lauren and all the kiddos!

12/6/13 - Karis and that helmet (she refused to take it off after coming inside from riding her bike!)

12/7/13 - Karis helping set up our Christmas decorations

12/8/13 - Yes it's December 8th and our kids are outside playing in the water table, it seems a bit unusual!

12/9/13 - Dinner with Ivan, Susan and David and Carol.  Thankful for these two couples and the roles they have played in our lives over the past several years!  Blessed by their wisdom, guidance, encouragement and friendship.

Adding to the Family!

Sitting down to write this blog post has been a long time coming (well at least 20 weeks or so!) But we are excited to announce that we are expecting our fourth child! Below, you will see some pictures highlighting parts of this pregnancy so far and also I talk about the name we have chosen for our little guy. Enjoy! I'm starting with this picture, because this little guy (left) pictured here with our son Isaac, I like to say is the reason we are having another baby, haha! Isaac has been smitten with this little one since he first held him as a baby two years ago and he began praying we would have another baby, specifically a boy! It's such a neat part of this story to me and I'm so thankful for our son's heart ( and friends who have cute kiddos!) This was taken right after we told the kids I was pregnant. Dear Grandma...

Today is my grandmother's birthday. This is a big deal. Today she celebrates 93 full and amazing years here on earth. My grandma is a special lady (more on that in a minute) and the only grandparent I ever knew (long story for another time). I often think it's amazing that my kids get to know all four of their grandparents, and we cherish the moments when we are all together. The past couple of years have been a bit up and down for my grandma in regard to her health and honestly I hate being across the world during this time and also a bit envious when my brothers and cousins get to visit her when they are able (so all y'all give her a hug when you see her next for me!) It's never easy being apart from family, but especially when one is ill. So I write, because it's what I can do...no she's not going to be on Facebook reading the link to our blog, but I know my mom will gladly call her and read this to her. Surprise Arrival!

This is a long post. But many of you have asked about the story of Milo's arrival. So I wanted to take time to write it out, details and all. But  for those who don't want to read the entire story with all the details, feel free to scroll through and just look at the pictures! A lot of you were shocked to hear of his arrival...so were we! (After all, we were still 25 days out from his due date when he made his appearance). I had just gone to my 36 week checkup two days prior, all was healthy and well with baby and with me and there were no signs of early labor. At that appointment, the doctor said that I was 1 cm dilated, but honesty I knew I could be at that for several weeks before seeing any progress to labor.
