365 : WEEK(s) 44 & 45

10/29/13 - Fun time on the playground at daddy's work. I think this is the first time I've seen her do this monkey swinging action!



10/30/13 - Two things: Steve hates glitter, Karis LOVES glitter.


10/31/13 - Steve caught Isaac making this silly face on camera...too funny!

11/1/13 - Evening in Celebration with the Heinsch family, Karis enjoying her first hot cocoa by the lake
11/2/13 - Celebrating Steve's 30th - a few weeks past his actual birthday, but it was the first weekend he was in town and not traveling for work in a while! Steve hates attention on him and didn't want a party...Jenny told him since it was his 30th that we had to do something.  So we landed on a small gathering with close friends.  He had a blast hanging out in the "man cave" at a local restaurant with just a few of his closest guy friends, eating dinner, chatting and watching Texas Tech football.

11/3/13 - If you live in Florida, one staple item you need to own is a pair of comfortable flip flops or sandals.  Jenny's favorite Reef brand sandals broke a few weeks back (the ones we bought the week we moved to Florida 4 and half years ago) and we finally had a chance to replace them with new ones.  These pregnant feet are happy again!

11/4/13 - The fall is Jenny's favorite season, one reason is to bake a lot of fun fall favorites.  Banana bread was on the dessert menu for dinner this particular night, yum!


WEEK 45


11/5/13 - Smile everyone...or not!

11/6/13 - Isaac is always very interested in what you're doing, what you're reading and what is going on and how he can be a part of it, if he sees you're reading or doing something, he will automatically say, "whatch doin"?  It's really cute!

11/7/13 - Another fall fav is homemade chicken pot pie.  In Florida it's nice to only run the oven when absolutely necessary...so we've been thankful for cooler weather so that indoor baking isn't so unbearable!
11/8/13 - Enjoying a garage sale find (the table) while coloring together.

11/9/13 - Another fun garage sale find, a bike for Karis.  She has been riding her "new" bike everyday since we got it last week.
11/10/13 - Karis giving Isaac a horsey ride...it was a very short ride!
11/11/13 - Karis helping to feed cousin Anson his bottle.  Jenny got to watch all six Valentine kiddos for a couple hours and it was a busy home, so any help from the older littles was much appreciated!

Adding to the Family!

Sitting down to write this blog post has been a long time coming (well at least 20 weeks or so!) But we are excited to announce that we are expecting our fourth child! Below, you will see some pictures highlighting parts of this pregnancy so far and also I talk about the name we have chosen for our little guy. Enjoy! I'm starting with this picture, because this little guy (left) pictured here with our son Isaac, I like to say is the reason we are having another baby, haha! Isaac has been smitten with this little one since he first held him as a baby two years ago and he began praying we would have another baby, specifically a boy! It's such a neat part of this story to me and I'm so thankful for our son's heart ( and friends who have cute kiddos!) This was taken right after we told the kids I was pregnant. Dear Grandma...

Today is my grandmother's birthday. This is a big deal. Today she celebrates 93 full and amazing years here on earth. My grandma is a special lady (more on that in a minute) and the only grandparent I ever knew (long story for another time). I often think it's amazing that my kids get to know all four of their grandparents, and we cherish the moments when we are all together. The past couple of years have been a bit up and down for my grandma in regard to her health and honestly I hate being across the world during this time and also a bit envious when my brothers and cousins get to visit her when they are able (so all y'all give her a hug when you see her next for me!) It's never easy being apart from family, but especially when one is ill. So I write, because it's what I can do...no she's not going to be on Facebook reading the link to our blog, but I know my mom will gladly call her and read this to her. Surprise Arrival!

This is a long post. But many of you have asked about the story of Milo's arrival. So I wanted to take time to write it out, details and all. But  for those who don't want to read the entire story with all the details, feel free to scroll through and just look at the pictures! A lot of you were shocked to hear of his arrival...so were we! (After all, we were still 25 days out from his due date when he made his appearance). I had just gone to my 36 week checkup two days prior, all was healthy and well with baby and with me and there were no signs of early labor. At that appointment, the doctor said that I was 1 cm dilated, but honesty I knew I could be at that for several weeks before seeing any progress to labor.
