365 : WEEK(s) 40 & 41

This should wrap up my marathon posting for today, enjoy weeks 40 and 41 in pictures...

WEEK 40:

10/1/13 - Sure it's October 1st...who doesn't pull out the Nativity set and play with it?!

10/2/13 - park play time with friends Piper and Cannon



10/3/13 - One happy couple! We had the opportunity to drive to Destin, Florida to celebrate with Brooke and Matt as they married on Friday.


10/4/13 - Steve officiated Matt and Brooke's wedding on the beach, very beautiful!


10/5/13 - on our drive home from Destin, we stopped by Seaside, Florida - where we honeymooned just over 5 years ago, fun to be back there even just to drive through!




10/6/13 - 18 weeks pregnant and growing!

10/7/13 - We had the opportunity to fly and visit Poland. Always enjoyable to be bumped up to start off the trip in first class (thanks to Steve's many, many miles he travels for work!)

WEEK 41:

10/8/13 - Arrived safely in Poznan, Poland and hit the ground running (well walking actually) to quick tour/view the city
10/9/13 - That cathedral you see in the far background, we hiked up the stairs all the way to the top (completely out of breath) but we made it all the way up!

10/10/13 - took a day to drive on over to Berlin. Part of the Berlin wall we saw on a walking tour of the city

10/11/13 - Names of two of the cities in Poland we were able to visit


10/12/13 - We learned a few Polish phrases while we were there, but with only really knowing how to ask for water at this point of our trip, Steve ventured out to the local market to get us eggs and bacon...needless to say Jenny was pretty proud of him for braving the unfamiliar and getting us some food other than cereal to eat for breakfast!

10/13/13 - Steve preaching at Poznan International Church. It was a joy to worship with people from all over the world!

10/14/13 - Richard (our host during our time in Poland and amazing servant of Christ) and Steve holding up their road trip snacks as we traveled to another city in Poland.  This was our last full day in Poland for this trip.

Adding to the Family!

Sitting down to write this blog post has been a long time coming (well at least 20 weeks or so!) But we are excited to announce that we are expecting our fourth child! Below, you will see some pictures highlighting parts of this pregnancy so far and also I talk about the name we have chosen for our little guy. Enjoy! I'm starting with this picture, because this little guy (left) pictured here with our son Isaac, I like to say is the reason we are having another baby, haha! Isaac has been smitten with this little one since he first held him as a baby two years ago and he began praying we would have another baby, specifically a boy! It's such a neat part of this story to me and I'm so thankful for our son's heart ( and friends who have cute kiddos!) This was taken right after we told the kids I was pregnant. Dear Grandma...

Today is my grandmother's birthday. This is a big deal. Today she celebrates 93 full and amazing years here on earth. My grandma is a special lady (more on that in a minute) and the only grandparent I ever knew (long story for another time). I often think it's amazing that my kids get to know all four of their grandparents, and we cherish the moments when we are all together. The past couple of years have been a bit up and down for my grandma in regard to her health and honestly I hate being across the world during this time and also a bit envious when my brothers and cousins get to visit her when they are able (so all y'all give her a hug when you see her next for me!) It's never easy being apart from family, but especially when one is ill. So I write, because it's what I can do...no she's not going to be on Facebook reading the link to our blog, but I know my mom will gladly call her and read this to her. Surprise Arrival!

This is a long post. But many of you have asked about the story of Milo's arrival. So I wanted to take time to write it out, details and all. But  for those who don't want to read the entire story with all the details, feel free to scroll through and just look at the pictures! A lot of you were shocked to hear of his arrival...so were we! (After all, we were still 25 days out from his due date when he made his appearance). I had just gone to my 36 week checkup two days prior, all was healthy and well with baby and with me and there were no signs of early labor. At that appointment, the doctor said that I was 1 cm dilated, but honesty I knew I could be at that for several weeks before seeing any progress to labor. I had a long list of nesting projects I had been slowly working on and was hoping to finish before Milo’s arrival.  Thursday morning rolled around, I realized I was beginning to show signs of possible labor nearing, but still wasn’t too alarmed just yet, after all...
