365 : WEEK{s} 33 & 34

WEEK 33
8/13/13 - Steve had promised Karis he would take her to play tennis after work one day. She came home and said, "learning tennis is hard mom"! {and we did finally get her a racket more her size}

8/14/13 - Four things Isaac likes after nap time: snuggling teddy, holding his blanket, being held by mama and watching a show!

8/15/13 - Aunt Lala and the cousins came over to hang out. Isaac LOVES babies {any babies} he wants to hold, snuggle, and kiss them. Lucky for Isaac we have twin nephews whom he can give lots of those snuggles and kisses to!

8/16/13 - This is hilarious to me that this was the ONLY picture I took this day!  So much happened on August 16th worth documenting {I went to an OB appt and heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time, I had a therapy session for my back and walked out pain free finally and Steve was off and we got to go on a mini date...so surely there could have been something worth taking a picture of instead of this, haha!}  But the reason I took this picture {yes while I was driving} was because as I was on my way to my appointments {by myself} I noticed that big tower in the far back of the picture and had never noticed it before. I took the picture to ask Steve later if that had always been there! Have lived here over four years, drive this road constantly and seriously never noticed it! Oblivious.

8/17/13 - Our new mode of transportation. As you saw in the last blog post, we sold the Mustang to help pay for a bigger vehicle. After trading in the Torrent, this was the perfect fit for our growing family. We like it, it's roomy!

8/18/13 - Isaac is learning how to put shoes on by himself and is quite obsessed with trying to figure it out on his own.  If he can't figure it out, he'll bring the shoes to you to help him get them on his feet. He likes to wear shoes all over {even if they are sissy's pink shoes!}

8/19/13 - Nothing more fun to these two kiddos than playing in water puddles after a big rain.

WEEK 34

8/20/13 - Happy Birthday Karis - today she turned 3!

8/21/13 - Daddy was out of town for part of this week and he came home today, he had bought her a special three year old necklace as part of a special surprise for her birthday. You can barely see it in this picture because she is holding it so tightly!

8/22/13 - Enjoying {aka. figuring out how to use} her new scooter that she got for her birthday.

8/23/13 - What better way to spend Steve's day off work than a day at the beach. It was a really fun, relaxing family trip!

8/24/13 - Jenny post haircut...she was getting tired of the length in this Florida heat!


8/25/13 - 12 week baby bump

8/26/13 - Isaac Daredevil Valentine

Adding to the Family!

Sitting down to write this blog post has been a long time coming (well at least 20 weeks or so!) But we are excited to announce that we are expecting our fourth child! Below, you will see some pictures highlighting parts of this pregnancy so far and also I talk about the name we have chosen for our little guy. Enjoy! Dear Grandma...

Today is my grandmother's birthday. This is a big deal. Today she celebrates 93 full and amazing years here on earth. My grandma is a special lady (more on that in a minute) and the only grandparent I ever knew (long story for another time). I often think it's amazing that my kids get to know all four of their grandparents, and we cherish the moments when we are all together. The past couple of years have been a bit up and down for my grandma in regard to her health and honestly I hate being across the world during this time and also a bit envious when my brothers and cousins get to visit her when they are able (so all y'all give her a hug when you see her next for me!) It's never easy being apart from family, but especially when one is ill. So I write, because it's what I can do...no she's not going to be on Facebook reading the link to our blog, but I know my mom will gladly call her and read this to her. Surprise Arrival!

This is a long post. But many of you have asked about the story of Milo's arrival. So I wanted to take time to write it out, details and all. But  for those who don't want to read the entire story with all the details, feel free to scroll through and just look at the pictures! A lot of you were shocked to hear of his arrival...so were we! (After all, we were still 25 days out from his due date when he made his appearance). I had just gone to my 36 week checkup two days prior, all was healthy and well with baby and with me and there were no signs of early labor. At that appointment, the doctor said that I was 1 cm dilated, but honesty I knew I could be at that for several weeks before seeing any progress to labor. I had a long list of nesting projects I had been slowly working on and was hoping to finish before Milo’s arrival.  Thursday morning rolled around, I realized I was beginning to show signs of possible labor nearing, but still wasn’t too alarmed just yet, after all...
