365 : WEEK{s} 26 and 27

Being out of town for the past couple weeks, I'm catching up on posting our daily pics...so here's two weeks worth {plus a few extra!}

WEEK 26:

6/25/13 {pic 1} - It made us laugh when we realized Steve was in his work's magazine.

6/25.13 {pic 2} - all pack up and ready for our 10 day trip to Minnesota {part for Steve's work and a couple days of visiting family}

6/26/13 - we left our house at 5:30am this day and when our flight arrived in Chicago, we soon found out our connecting flight was cancelled to Minnesota. Needless to say, it felt like de ja vu from our trip at Christmas!  This day/adventure could be a blog in itself.  None the less here's our happy girl despite all the travel. Both kids were troopers on our 14 and a half hour day of travel by plane and car!

6/27/13 - After getting a little rest overnight, we were off for an early morning walk on the Bethel college campus, where we stayed for the Missionary Retreat that Steve was attending for work.

 

6/28/13 - Karis eating her doritos for breakfast. 

6/29/13 - Both of our kids still like to ride on mama in the Ergo carrier, so thankful because that way we didn't have to bring our double stroller! {notice Isaac's sticker on his face-stickers are the newest obsession}

6/30/13 - Family pic in front of Lake Valentine

 

7/1/13 - Karis got to spend time with several of the MK's {missionary kids} and a couple ladies who have been missionaries for years on the field. She loved hanging out with Mrs. Marcia and Mrs. Carol and all the kiddos, we were so thankful that she got to be around all of them!  Here she is going for a walk with one of the MK's and Mrs. Marcia.

 WEEK 27:

7/2/13 - Steve bringing the Word during a morning devotional for the missionaries attending the retreat.

7/3/13 - On July 2nd we headed up to Duluth/Superior to visit Jenny's family. We got to meet our newest nephew, Emmett Jon Lemaster, born just days prior to us coming up!

7/4/13 - Per mama's request, we got a brother/sister photo. Love these two brothers! Spent fourth of July with a parade, family, cook out and chilling in the evening around a fire. Was really neat to be with them for a couple days!

7/5/13 -The older I get, the more people say Jenny looks like her mama. Agreed :)

7/6/13 - Riding {unexpectedly} in first class on our way home.  Jenny was in the back {economy seats} while Karis and Steve got bumped to first class.  Just before the plane took off, Jenny and Isaac were moved to the one open seat up in first class when Steve mentioned something to the flight attendant. It was much more roomy and we got a little nervous when Isaac started screaming his head off for about 15 minutes until he fell asleep!

7/7/13 - This was Karis asleep on the couch, after already taking a two hour nap!  She was worn out from our trip. She got a fever this day after we came home from church but had no other symptoms except tiredness.  Only thing we could think of is she was one worn out little girl from ten busy days of travel!

7/8/13 {pic 1} - our new favorite thing Isaac does, "voom voom" with his cars!

7/8/13 {pic 2} - Had the joy of taking our friends, Luke and Traci, a meal for dinner after the arrival of their second child.  Love these friends and love their new little one, he's a handsome little guy!
