365 : WEEK 20

5/14/13 - It's that time of year for sidewalk chalk and bubbles...one of our favorite afternoon activities!

5/15/13 - May 15th marks our 6 year dating anniversary. This time 6 six years ago we were off on our first date together and couldn't have been more excited about our future together! Today we are so thankful for the many years together and hope for many more.

5/16/13 - Steve and Matt enjoying a brew and the sunset together.  We are sad to see our friends/neighbors, Matt and Lyra, leaving in a week and so trying to enjoy as much time with them before they leave Florida.  Matt has been a good friend to Steve and we are going to miss that family so much!

5/17/13 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT LALA! We got to go have lunch with our sister-in-law {better known as Aunt Lala around here} and cousins. It's a full house when our two families get together now that the twins are around. Pictured left to right: Lauren {Miss 30 year old!}, Anson, Owen, Eloise, Karis and Charlotte.  I'm sad Isaac didn't make the picture, but he was munchin on his lunch ;)

So for May 18th, I had to include two pictures...our friends Luke and Traci {and their sweet girl, Piper} came over for dinner. Before dinner we took out the kiddie pool and water table and let them play around. Piper wanted Isaac's snack and so he decided he would share...
5/18/13 - Two cuties, Piper Heinsch 18 months and Isaac 14 months

5/18/13 - Sharing snack. He was so careful to put the goldfish in her mouth and she was so gentle not to bite him ;) We were all laughing, it was too funny!

5/19/13 - On the Sunday's that Jenny plays on the worship team at church, Steve will change carseats over to the Mustang and drive the kiddos to church so they don't have to go as early as she does.  That afternoon, we decided to run to the grocery store and instead of changing things around we just all rode in the Mustang.  The kids love this car and Karis will always say, "faster, daddy, faster!" Haha, guess something about the sound of the engine makes her want to go faster!

5/20/13 - We are on our Stay-cation this week!  Once Steve was off on Friday, we had a low-key weekend before heading to some of the theme parks in town on Monday. We have been blessed with several friends who gave us tickets and so we were able to enjoy a fun day at SeaWorld this particular day {more to come about our Stay-cation in another blog post}.

Adding to the Family!

Sitting down to write this blog post has been a long time coming (well at least 20 weeks or so!) But we are excited to announce that we are expecting our fourth child! Below, you will see some pictures highlighting parts of this pregnancy so far and also I talk about the name we have chosen for our little guy. Enjoy! I'm starting with this picture, because this little guy (left) pictured here with our son Isaac, I like to say is the reason we are having another baby, haha! Isaac has been smitten with this little one since he first held him as a baby two years ago and he began praying we would have another baby, specifically a boy! It's such a neat part of this story to me and I'm so thankful for our son's heart ( and friends who have cute kiddos!) This was taken right after we told the kids I was pregnant. We bought them a book titled "New Baby" and it took a while for them to clue in, because we have several friends that are currently pregnant...

Dear Grandma...

Today is my grandmother's birthday. This is a big deal. Today she celebrates 93 full and amazing years here on earth. My grandma is a special lady (more on that in a minute) and the only grandparent I ever knew (long story for another time). I often think it's amazing that my kids get to know all four of their grandparents, and we cherish the moments when we are all together. The past couple of years have been a bit up and down for my grandma in regard to her health and honestly I hate being across the world during this time and also a bit envious when my brothers and cousins get to visit her when they are able (so all y'all give her a hug when you see her next for me!) It's never easy being apart from family, but especially when one is ill. So I write, because it's what I can do...no she's not going to be on Facebook reading the link to our blog, but I know my mom will gladly call her and read this to her. Surprise Arrival!

This is a long post. But many of you have asked about the story of Milo's arrival. So I wanted to take time to write it out, details and all. But  for those who don't want to read the entire story with all the details, feel free to scroll through and just look at the pictures! A lot of you were shocked to hear of his arrival...so were we! (After all, we were still 25 days out from his due date when he made his appearance). I had just gone to my 36 week checkup two days prior, all was healthy and well with baby and with me and there were no signs of early labor. At that appointment, the doctor said that I was 1 cm dilated, but honesty I knew I could be at that for several weeks before seeing any progress to labor. I had a long list of nesting projects I had been slowly working on and was hoping to finish before Milo’s arrival.  Thursday morning rolled around, I realized I was beginning to show signs of possible labor nearing, but still wasn’t too alarmed just yet, after all...
