365 : WEEK 14

4/2/13 - Karis is obsessed with taking care of anything that resembles a baby these days {and typically it's in a set of two} so here she is taking care of platypus and baby Gina, her two babies of choice that day.  It's cute and all until she starts telling people she has a baby in her belly {of which she's done several times now!}
4/3/13 - bed head hair after nap...still just cute as ever!
4/4/13 - Isaac's new word is shoe and so every time he sees a shoe he picks it up and says "shoe" and proceeds to attempt putting it on...he also does this with socks, calls them shoes and tries to put them on.

4/5/13 - beating the rainy day blues with a little trip to Chick-fil-a to enjoy lunch with friends and play in the play area

4/6/13 - Isaac loves chasing his sister and they giggle so loud when they run around the house chasing each other, it's too cute watching them interact and enjoy each other.
4/7/13 - trimming our trees in the front yard, Isaac trying to be my assistant
 
4/8/13 - little dude watching a show, eating his favorite snack

Adding to the Family!

Sitting down to write this blog post has been a long time coming (well at least 20 weeks or so!) But we are excited to announce that we are expecting our fourth child! Below, you will see some pictures highlighting parts of this pregnancy so far and also I talk about the name we have chosen for our little guy. Enjoy! I'm starting with this picture, because this little guy (left) pictured here with our son Isaac, I like to say is the reason we are having another baby, haha! Isaac has been smitten with this little one since he first held him as a baby two years ago and he began praying we would have another baby, specifically a boy! It's such a neat part of this story to me and I'm so thankful for our son's heart ( and friends who have cute kiddos!) This was taken right after we told the kids I was pregnant. Dear Grandma...

Today is my grandmother's birthday. This is a big deal. Today she celebrates 93 full and amazing years here on earth. My grandma is a special lady (more on that in a minute) and the only grandparent I ever knew (long story for another time). I often think it's amazing that my kids get to know all four of their grandparents, and we cherish the moments when we are all together. The past couple of years have been a bit up and down for my grandma in regard to her health and honestly I hate being across the world during this time and also a bit envious when my brothers and cousins get to visit her when they are able (so all y'all give her a hug when you see her next for me!) It's never easy being apart from family, but especially when one is ill. So I write, because it's what I can do...no she's not going to be on Facebook reading the link to our blog, but I know my mom will gladly call her and read this to her. Surprise Arrival!

This is a long post. But many of you have asked about the story of Milo's arrival. So I wanted to take time to write it out, details and all. But  for those who don't want to read the entire story with all the details, feel free to scroll through and just look at the pictures! A lot of you were shocked to hear of his arrival...so were we! (After all, we were still 25 days out from his due date when he made his appearance). I had just gone to my 36 week checkup two days prior, all was healthy and well with baby and with me and there were no signs of early labor. At that appointment, the doctor said that I was 1 cm dilated, but honesty I knew I could be at that for several weeks before seeing any progress to labor.
