365 : WEEK 10

3/5/13 - I got to visit my neighbor/friend Susan at the hospital and meet her little man, Victor
3/6/13 - On this day, I left my kiddos with my mom and flew to Phoenix to join Steve on a work trip {with a couple days vacation for our anniversary tagged on the end of the trip}. This was the first time I've been away from Isaac and I was a little teary eyed when I got out of the car at the airport.  They did just fine though and my mom was a trooper for the few days we were gone but was HAPPY when we came home {taking care of two littles is a hard task even for the most seasoned mama!}

3/7/13 - We had the joy of meeting with this sweet couple, Richard and Brooke, missionaries who have faithfully served in Poland for nearly 12 years now.  It was neat to hear about all that the Lord is doing through them in the ministry in Poland.  Pray for them :)
3/8/13 - Also on our vacation part of the trip we celebrated our 5th anniversary {dinner at Kona Grill, a restaurant we don't have in Orlando and miss, so we thought would be fun to eat at to celebrate our anniversary}.  So thankful for the Lord sustaining us five years together in marriage and look forward to the years ahead!
3/9/13 - The beautiful sunrise coming up over our airplane we took to come back to Orlando {this picture doesn't really do it justice, it was a wonderful sight to see}
3/10/13 - Our very first nephews {twins} were born while we were out of town but we got to meet them the day after arriving home.  Owen {pictured in back in the nursery bed} and Anson {pictured in front in Lauren's hands} are so adorable.  We will never forget their birthday {as they were born on our anniversary} and we are so excited to add more boys to the family!  God is good!
3/11/13 - Grammy and Grandpa are in town on their yearly spring break trip to Orlando...Jeannine is always so helpful and jumps right in to help with the kiddos ~ little did she know she needed to bring a rain jacket for this particular tasks...next time I'm sure she'll be more prepared, haha ;)

Adding to the Family!

Sitting down to write this blog post has been a long time coming (well at least 20 weeks or so!) But we are excited to announce that we are expecting our fourth child! Below, you will see some pictures highlighting parts of this pregnancy so far and also I talk about the name we have chosen for our little guy. Enjoy! I'm starting with this picture, because this little guy (left) pictured here with our son Isaac, I like to say is the reason we are having another baby, haha! Isaac has been smitten with this little one since he first held him as a baby two years ago and he began praying we would have another baby, specifically a boy! It's such a neat part of this story to me and I'm so thankful for our son's heart ( and friends who have cute kiddos!) This was taken right after we told the kids I was pregnant. We bought them a book titled "New Baby" and it took a while for them to clue in, because we have several friends that are currently pregnant...

Dear Grandma...

Today is my grandmother's birthday. This is a big deal. Today she celebrates 93 full and amazing years here on earth. My grandma is a special lady (more on that in a minute) and the only grandparent I ever knew (long story for another time). I often think it's amazing that my kids get to know all four of their grandparents, and we cherish the moments when we are all together. The past couple of years have been a bit up and down for my grandma in regard to her health and honestly I hate being across the world during this time and also a bit envious when my brothers and cousins get to visit her when they are able (so all y'all give her a hug when you see her next for me!) It's never easy being apart from family, but especially when one is ill. So I write, because it's what I can do...no she's not going to be on Facebook reading the link to our blog, but I know my mom will gladly call her and read this to her. Surprise Arrival!

This is a long post. But many of you have asked about the story of Milo's arrival. So I wanted to take time to write it out, details and all. But  for those who don't want to read the entire story with all the details, feel free to scroll through and just look at the pictures! A lot of you were shocked to hear of his arrival...so were we! (After all, we were still 25 days out from his due date when he made his appearance). I had just gone to my 36 week checkup two days prior, all was healthy and well with baby and with me and there were no signs of early labor. At that appointment, the doctor said that I was 1 cm dilated, but honesty I knew I could be at that for several weeks before seeing any progress to labor.
