365 : week TWO

1/8/13 - Karis likes playing with playdoh.  This particular time she said she was making cookies for our neighbors...what a little servant!
1/9/13 -We always enjoy our weekly playgroup time with neighbor friends - cleaning toys afterward 
1/10/13 - Isaac's first time playing on the indoor jungle gym at Chick-fil-a

1/11/13 -  Apparently Karis thinks we're still in Minnesota!  She was insistent on wearing her winter hat while she played with stickers

1/12/13 - We joined the other Valentine's for some outdoor fun while uncle Rob smoked up some meats for us in his new smoker.  These four were happy to play in the pool together (even though there was another {bigger} pool right next to it!)
1/13/13 - spending some much needed time pulling weeds outside while Karis played with her toys.  We're enjoying the 80 degree weather this January here in Florida!

1/14/13 -  I began the process of weaning Isaac from nursing when we returned from Minnesota.  He has had a freezer full of mommy's milk that is slowly coming to an end.  Here he is trying whole milk mixed with a little of mommy's milk for the first time.

Adding to the Family!

Sitting down to write this blog post has been a long time coming (well at least 20 weeks or so!) But we are excited to announce that we are expecting our fourth child! Below, you will see some pictures highlighting parts of this pregnancy so far and also I talk about the name we have chosen for our little guy. Enjoy! I'm starting with this picture, because this little guy (left) pictured here with our son Isaac, I like to say is the reason we are having another baby, haha! Isaac has been smitten with this little one since he first held him as a baby two years ago and he began praying we would have another baby, specifically a boy! It's such a neat part of this story to me and I'm so thankful for our son's heart ( and friends who have cute kiddos!) This was taken right after we told the kids I was pregnant. Dear Grandma...

Today is my grandmother's birthday. This is a big deal. Today she celebrates 93 full and amazing years here on earth. My grandma is a special lady (more on that in a minute) and the only grandparent I ever knew (long story for another time). I often think it's amazing that my kids get to know all four of their grandparents, and we cherish the moments when we are all together. The past couple of years have been a bit up and down for my grandma in regard to her health and honestly I hate being across the world during this time and also a bit envious when my brothers and cousins get to visit her when they are able (so all y'all give her a hug when you see her next for me!) It's never easy being apart from family, but especially when one is ill. So I write, because it's what I can do...no she's not going to be on Facebook reading the link to our blog, but I know my mom will gladly call her and read this to her. Surprise Arrival!

This is a long post. But many of you have asked about the story of Milo's arrival. So I wanted to take time to write it out, details and all. But  for those who don't want to read the entire story with all the details, feel free to scroll through and just look at the pictures! A lot of you were shocked to hear of his arrival...so were we! (After all, we were still 25 days out from his due date when he made his appearance). I had just gone to my 36 week checkup two days prior, all was healthy and well with baby and with me and there were no signs of early labor. At that appointment, the doctor said that I was 1 cm dilated, but honesty I knew I could be at that for several weeks before seeing any progress to labor.
