Hallelujah, Glory to our King!

I'm sitting on our balcony enjoying the 70 degree weather this evening...how amazing is that and so different from Texas! I'm watching my husband study for his first Greek exam and pondering how GREAT our GOD is!

It's been a long time since I've lived in a place where when the sun begins to set, the tempurature starts to cool off as well! That was one thing I missed about the north when I first moved to Texas so many years ago, so it's nice to be in a place that cools off as the sun sets for the day.

Steve has enjoyed this first week of Greek...today it started getting challenging, but he has been studying like crazy for his first exam tomorrow. Everyday he's had a quiz at the beginning of class and everyday, except today, he's gotten 100...today he got a 98! I'm so proud of him. It's so exciting to see him study God's word in it's original language and to see how excited he gets when he learns something new and wants to teach me.

As for how GREAT our GOD is...He is AMAZING! He is able to do far more than we can ever think or imagine. He is faithful and has been so good to us. A month after moving here, we are both able to say we have jobs! All I can do is give all the praise to God for this and brag on how good He has been.

Steve signed the paper work yesterday for his full time job (25 hours/week). He will be tutoring/mentoring elementary students before and after school through an outside school organization. This works perfect with his class schedule. And since it's considered as 'full time' by the employer, he will receive benefits (medical)...which is a blessing since he needed to have medical insurance when starting the fall semester at RTS. Steve will start this job August 24th. Not only this, but he had an interview today for a possible work study position on campus. This would be less than 10 hours per week, working in the admissions office contacint prospective students. This is something, should he get it, that he could work his hours in between classes and on the days he doesn't have classes.
As for me, I heard back today from Converge Worldwide about whether or not I got the position in which I interviewed for the other day and they offered me the job! My job title will be RAD support specialist. RAD stands for Recruitment, Assesment & Deployment. I will be an active agent in the recruiting, assesing and deployment process of missionaries to all parts of the world. God truely gave me the 'desire of my heart' for a job here in Orlando. I will start August 25th and I fly up to Chicago for training in their Chicago office on August 26 for a couple days.

I can't begin to express in words how faithful the Lord has been to us in this first month that we've been here in Orlando. All I can think to do is brag about who HE is and how HE has worked out, planned and orchestrated everything in our lives for HIS good purposes. To make HIS name great through these circumstances. Our desire would be that all the praise, congratulations and adoration go to HIM for what HE has done for us.

Humbled by the Lord,
Jenny
