Life in the Sunshine State!

So we've been here a week now, but just now getting around to writing about our first week here in Orlando...

We left on Friday, July 3, and stayed the night in Atlanta, Georgia with my step mom. We enjoyed our night there. That was a looong day in the car! 15 hours from Dallas to ATL because we went up and down, up and down hills through Alabama on into Georgia...and the moving truck was not a fan of going up and down big hills! We arrived last Saturday, July 4, just in time for dinner with Steve's brother and sister in law.

We moved into our apartment on Sunday afternoon and have spent this past week trying to get unpacked and settled into our apartment as well as trying to get licenses and license plates. We are officially Floridians!

The weather is great here...when you leave Texas and it's 105...90 degrees doesn't seem to bad! It rains most everyday...not sure I'm a big fan of that yet, but it is pretty to watch the rain come down outside our apartment.

We've been trying to get our internet set up and so applying for jobs has been slow in going...TODAY, Finally, our internet was fully set up after being on the phone multiple times with AT&T.

We're adjusting to life here in Florida I guess...I've had a hard time adjusting in that I've been super tired this past week...just exhausted from the trip I guess and instead of tears, I think my body has been responding to this huge change by being exhausted! The Lord has been good to us from the little things to the big things in this first week of this journey. We are greatly blessed and look forward to the months ahead!

Other exciting news is that our Sister-in-law, Lauren, is about to have her first baby and family members are slowly trickling into town to await the arrival of Baby Charlotte! We are so excited to meet this new addition to the Valentine family :) Please be praying for her in the next few days!

We greatly appreciate the prayers, text messages, voice mails and phone calls we've received from our friends...you are wonderful and we greatly appreciate your support as Steve and I make this transition.
