Alligators, Dolphins and Lizards

Valentine Family: Bob, Jeannine, Rob, Lauren, Charlotte (strapped on!) me and Steve
Our first Alligator sighting!

Welcoming baby Charlotte into the world!

The beautiful sunrise at Daytona beach.

Just a glimpse of our lives right now...
We have been in Orlando for three weeks now and it has flown by fast! Mostly because there has been a lot going on, with the birth of our newest neice, Charlotte Grace Valentine, and family being in town. We have enjoyed many moments with family members and little Charlotte and look forward to watching her grow!

In the midst of all the busyness, we are getting acclimated to life in Florida. We have enjoyed many moments of firsts and have also shared some tears together as we learn and grow more into Christ-likeness through each of these experiences.

Some of those firsts such as seeing alligators, going to the beach and watching dolphins jump in the ocean and trying to guess what type of lizzard is crawling on our balcony have kept life exciting! I can't help but get excited about these things! My husband loves watching me get so excited about moments like this...he likes it even more when I re-tell those stories to other people with excited animation! Some things never change :)

Some of the tears have come from not knowing what's next to just a shear understanding that any change in life, such as this, is hard and will take some time to adjust to. I can't help but say, though, that the Lord has been good to us...He has provided for our every need and continues to show us that He is in control and will continue to take care of us.

Many people have asked if we have found jobs yet...the answer to that is no. We've been looking for a couple weeks now, which is slightly discouraging, but we also trust in God's perfect timing and continue to pray for God to lead us to the places we're supposed to be at.

Steve starts school next week...he has a week to study up and be ready for his first class! I'm excited for him and know he's getting excited about starting seminary too.
