A few Blessings

These are just a couple of the many ways we've really seen God providing for us and encouraging us as we prepare to leave for Oranldo next week:

*We were at our local health food store purchasing some groceries and we began talking with the cashiers-it's a small store, so it's the type of place where they recognize you when you come in and you can talk to them because they're not rushing you through the line. We mentioned that we were moving soon and she started asking all the details and then she asked the question I've become so accustomed to in the past few months, "Where will you work when you get there?" I told her I wasn't sure yet and that we knew God would open a door. Her response really surprised me, she said, "you know, you will find something!" That may seem like a pretty simple response, But I have become so used to hearing people say something like, "what a horrible time to move", "this economy is horrible", "it's going to be rough finding a job"...the list goes on. But her smile and the encouraging tone in her voice made me remember what I tell myself all the time, "I will find something, God will provide a job!" It may not happen the way I think it will happen and there may be times when it does seem rough, but God will be faithful.

*Also, the other day, Steve came up to work to have lunch with me. He began talking to a guy I work with and telling him about the details of why we're moving. This guy started asking Steve a whole bunch of questions and was real encouraging to us as we talked to him about this transition. Later that day, I passed by his office and he said, "Jenny, come here a minute" and when I did, he handed me a folded up piece of paper. I got back to my desk and in that folded up piece of paper was a check and a note saying that he likes to support people who are doing what God is calling them to do. I was very humbled in that moment and greatly encouraged. I never would have expected this from one of my coworkers, but it was just another way of God showing Steve and I that He is providing and He is in control!
